Senior Data Privacy Advisor

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Senior Data Privacy Advisor.

You will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company for this role.

Key Requirements:

- Looking for a Senior Data Privacy Advisor to oversee and maintain European and APAC privacy programmes, providing leadership and advice to the business on all area's of Data Protection.
- This is a high profile role working closely with the Head of Data Privacy, Data Privacy leads in each Business vertical, Data Privacy Compliance, and other Data stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a Senior Data Privacy subject matter expert and advisor.
- Advise the business in line with relevant policies and standards related to Data Privacy.
- Report, record, and monitor Data Privacy related incidents, breaches, and risk events.
- Ensure Data Privacy assurance for new product and technology change processes.
- Communicate relevant changes to Data Privacy related law and regulations to business stakeholders and collaborate to implement any required operational changes.
- Building and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of DP relevant artifacts.
- Maintenance and updating of the business' RoPA and annual review of privacy notices.
- Data Protection training development for Data Protection functional leads and the wider population.
- Managing international PII data transfer risks.
- Data Privacy compliance and assurance processes.
- Oversight of data privacy incidents, issues, remediation and lessons learned.

Key Experience:

- Previous Data Privacy leadership experience.
- Strong Privacy and Data Protection background.
- Excellent knowledge of UK, European and global data protection laws.
- Consultative pragmatic approaches to proactively drive change.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Successfully influencing behaviours and driving change at all levels of a large enterprise.
- Strong technical and regulatory knowledge in the areas of Data Privacy.
- Navigate a fast paced business environment making effective decisions in light of business objectives and commercial factors.
- Privacy impact and privacy risk and control assessments.
- Data Privacy conformance testing, reviews, and assurance.

Desirable Skills:

- Financial Services background preferred, but open to other sectors.
- Previous Business, Compliance or Legal experience.
- CIPP/E certified.
- Certifications in data privacy, legal, compliance information risk or information technology.
- BCS qualification in Data Protection.
- Data breach incident management.
