Major Recruitment are searching for a Product Inspection Operative for our client based in Wallsend. This vacancy is initially for 6 months but can lead to a full-time and permanent position for the right candidate.
Duties include:
Comparing manufactured products with technical drawings to check for defects, missing components, incorrect dimensions etc.
Reporting defects to other departments and agreeing corrective action
Completing relevant paperwork and quality reports
Contributing to improvement of current work practices
Liaising with other teams and departments to investigate and resolve defectsHours of work and pay rate:
Monday to Thursday, 07:00am/ 07:30am till 16:00/ 16:30pm
Friday 07:00/ 07:30am till 11:30am/ 12:00pm
Candidates can choose which pattern they prefer
37.5 hours per week
£13.07 per hour
Overtime available as and when business needs require, x1.5 for any hours over 37.5 - £19.60Successful candidates must have the following:
An electronic assembly or electrical product background
Be able to read and understand wiring schematics and technical drawings
Be able to use measuring tools and gauges
Have an understanding of visual checking processesPlease call (phone number removed) for an immediate interview.
