P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting an Estimator & Planner to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

The Estimator & Planner will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and helping to plan production for print projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with the sales, production and design teams to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects combining multiple print techniques, including lithographic and digital printing, engraving (die-stamping), foiling and various print finishing processes.

* Analyse project specifications, artwork visuals and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

* Liaise with suppliers and trusted partners to obtain and negotiate the best prices for materials and services.

* Review and analyse historical data and market trends to ensure competitive pricing.

* Present and explain estimates to internal stakeholders.

* Working closely with external suppliers and our Production Manager to develop production schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.

* Coordinate with sales, production, design teams to align production capacity with project demands.

* Assist in monitoring project progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any delays or issues.

* Assist in ensuring resources, including materials, labour and equipment are effectively allocated to meet project deadlines.

* Action production jobs with trusted external suppliers, conduct quality checks during the production process to ensure all products meet our rigorous standards.

* Monitor progress with suppliers to ensure external production schedules are aligned with our project target deadlines.

* Work with the production team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Solid educational background is essential.

* Relevant professional certifications or training in estimating and project management. (Desirable)

* Proven experience in estimating and planning within the print industry, preferably in lithography, digital printing and finishing techniques such as engraving and foiling.

* Strong understanding of print production processes, materials and techniques.

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

* Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

* Proficiency in estimating software and production planning tools.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

* A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Working Hours and Benefits:

* Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.
