We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our schools in Sheffield are seeking empathetic and skilled SEN Teachers to join our team immediately, offering you the chance to enhance the educational experiences of students with diverse and complex needs.

Our Sheffield-based schools are committed to providing inclusive education that caters to the unique needs of each student, with a particular focus on supporting children with Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities). As an SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering tailored support that enables these students to thrive in both academic and personal development. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and dedicated to delivering exceptional education in a nurturing environment.

The Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will be working closely with students facing a wide array of special educational needs, including Autism, SEMH, and PMLD. Your key responsibilities include:

Individualised Support: Design and implement customised learning strategies to help students with Autism, SEMH, and PMLD engage with the curriculum and realise their full potential.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, providing feedback to parents, teachers, and other professionals to support their academic and personal development.
Emotional Support: Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment, offering emotional support and encouragement, especially to students facing emotional and mental health challenges.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with parents, teachers, and professionals, ensuring everyone involved in each student’s journey is kept informed and involved.
Inclusion: Promote an inclusive school culture, ensuring students with Autism, SEMH, and PMLD feel a sense of belonging and are given the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:

Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), indicating completion of the necessary requirements to be a qualified teacher.
Relevant experience as an SEN Teacher, especially with Autism, SEMH, and PMLD, is preferred.
Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping students with complex needs succeed.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Adaptability to work effectively within a dynamic and collaborative school environment.
A background in supporting students with SEN, particularly in Autism and SEMH, is advantageous.
