Project Manager - Marine Civils
Posted on Oct 1, 2024 by CV-Library
Leiston, Suffolk, United Kingdom
Construction
Immediate Start
£75k - £80k Annual
Full-Time
Here is a chance to join an organically growing business with a strong (and profitable) trading history stretching back over 40 years.
As a Project Manager, you will take on responsibility for delivering the largest singular project they have ever undertaken as a business.
With a value of ~£30M, this complex project will involve the construction of four cofferdams, instillation of ~1000m of sheet piling and drainage diversion works. This is a highly complex, innovative and challenging in-land marine project that will ultimately protect a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It forms part of a much larger programme of work in the Renewable/Energy sector.
The project will be administered under an NEC option C contract, and it is a design and build project. Construction is due to start in March 2025.
This is a negotiated project, and the business is already being asked to price additional works. This is a long-term opportunity for you to work in a fixed location for the next 4 – 5 years whilst delivering very niche and challenging projects. There is also a clear succession plan which will give you the opportunity to grow into a Contracts Manager role.
To be successful in this position, it is thought that you will:
Be educated to HND or Degree (or equivalent) level in Civil Engineering
Ideally be IEng or CEng with the ICE
Hold demonstrable experience in delivering marine/river/wet civil engineering projects as a number one, with values more than £20M
Hold demonstrable
Be very familiar in working under the NEC form of contract
On offer is a salary of around 75,000 – 80,000 per annum (although this is subject to sensible negotiation) and comes with a ~£8,000 car allowance, paid travel, matched contribution pension, accommodation and subsistence, profit share bonus and 25 days holiday
Interested? Then please call us on (phone number removed) or email a copy of your CV (it doesn't have to be up to date) and we'll call you.
People Group is an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to promoting an inclusive environment for both our clients and employees
