Longstanding medium sized Lambeth based Accountancy practice are currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join the Accounts and business services team and will be required to carry out the VAT, production of Management accounts and also producing yearly accounts all while sticking to relevant deadlines and providing a great all-around service.

The Position offers clear progression to owning a portfolio whilst also offering a salary of up to £47,000 per annum

The Senior Accountant will have a few years' experience within practice using Xero & Sage whilst also having a good knowledge of producing Accounts and assisting with client queries.

Senior Accountant Job Overview

Prepare sole trader and partnership accounts from records on Iris software.
Prepare limited company accounts and corporation tax returns on Iris software from prime records for review by a Partner.
Prepare VAT returns from prime records on Sage or Xero where appropriate.
Liaise directly with clients to obtain the necessary information to complete company accounts and tax returns and VAT returns in a timely manner to meet filing and payment deadlines.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

Experience within practice is essential
ACCA, ACA part qualified or fully qualified will be considered
Experience using Xero and Iris is advantageous
Experience preparing management accounts and annual accounts

Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

£40,000 - £47,000 per annum

28 days holiday including bank holidays
Monday to Friday 9:00am - 17:00pm
