Salary on offer and hybrid working:
The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is £40,000 - £65,000 per annum. 3 days working onsite and 2 days WFH is available. If you prefer to be working 5 days a week onsite, that is fine to do so.

The role:
This is an exciting role because the ideal Embedded Software Engineer will have a strong background in Embedded Software Programming in C and FPGA VHDL development, for embedded systems. The Embedded Software Engineering role will include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for our the company’s high end technology based engineering products. This role occupies teamwork with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

3-5+ minimum industry experience
Embedded Software Programming in C
Experience with VHDL for hardware description and FPGA development
Knowledge of both analogue and digital hardware
Experience of real time embedded systems, NIOS II softcore processor, DSP algorithms and techniques.
Compilers – GNU Complier Collection, ARM Compiler, IAR Embedded Workbench
Debuggers – GNU Debugger, JTAG, J-Link, TRACE32
IDE’s – Eclipse, Keil µVision, Visual Studio, MPLAB X
Experience with application-level programming languages such as Python, Visual C, Rust etc.
Good teamwork and communication skillsBenefits Package:

Normal holiday entitlement is 26 days plus bank holidays a year: including office closure days over the Christmas period.
Pension in the current scheme equates to an 8% contribution (3% from the employer and 5% from the employee).
Discretionary bonus scheme – 5% of salary.
Following the probationary period, we provide:

Income Protection – this will provide 75% of your salary (after a 13-week deferred period) should you ever have a long-term illness.
Life Assurance – a lump sum of 4 x your salary.
Normal hours of work will equate to 37.5 hours per week.
