Academics is currently looking for a Classroom Assistant to join a fantastic Primary School in Croydon!

The Role: Classroom Assistant - Croydon

As a Classroom Assistant, you will provide essential support to the class teacher and help create an engaging, nurturing, and safe environment for children. You will work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, supporting their educational and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities: Classroom Assistant - Croydon

Assisting the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
Supporting students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour.
Supporting children with their social and emotional development.
Working with pupils with additional needs, including those with ASD and other learning difficulties.
Carrying out administrative tasks and preparing classroom resources as required.
Ability to Commute to CroydonAbout You:

Key Skills and Experience:

Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desired but not essential).
Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage small groups of students and maintain focus.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
