Carbon60 are currently looking for Field Service Engineers to join a large engineering and industrial services provider. The position is based on various customer sites, covering across the South of England within a commutable distance of Southampton.
Our client is a leading Engineering & Industrial Services Provider with over 200 sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland. You will be working with a business who offer specialised engineering services, offering a wide range of engineering components, technical services and customised solutions across all areas of industry.
As this position is a Field Service role, your base location will be your home address. The client's workshop is based in Southampton, and you will be covering areas covering across South of England within a commutable distance of Southampton. You will be supplied with a van and be paid door to door. Ideally you will have a Thames Water Passport and Confined Spaces however if not, this will be provided.
Responsibilities:
The activities of the role are the strip-down, fault finding, remedial repair and re-assembly of the following types of equipment on customer sites:
Large water pumps
Smaller industrial pumps
Gearboxes
Electric motors
Fans
Generators
Rotating equipment
Other sundry mechanical equipmentWe are looking for both electrical and/or mechanical skilled technicians.
Skills and Experience required:
You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment
Participate in call out rota as required
You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do
You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative
Working Hours/Shift Pattern:
Mon - Thurs: 8am - 16.30pm, Fri: 8am - 15.30pm, Weekly hours: 39, Breaks: 45 min
Type of Employment: 12 weeks temporary contract to permanent
