Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with previous experience managing a team. The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department's day-to-day operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Monitor and analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and present findings to senior management.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets and forecasts
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions, including payments, invoices, and payroll
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations and standards
Sought out Qualifications:
At least 7+ years of accounting experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
ASC 842 experience is highly sought by not required
At least 3 +plus years of audit experience working hands-on with outside firms.
3+ years of building and managing teams in a rapidly evolving environment.
Direct experience performing detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
Strong technical accounting skills with a keen understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance.
Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative.
Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team to success.
Ability to prioritize workloads and ensure tasks are completed timely.
High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
