Stores assistant required for our global client based in Derby, this is a permanent opportunity to join a thriving business.

The stores operative will work within a workshop environment, carrying out inspections and repairs to customer specification, this role involves going to customer sites.

Duties include

* Visual inspection of engine stands & products delivered

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Painting duties

* Taking delivery of products and storage

* General workshop duties including the good housekeeping of the workshop area

* Manual handling with full adherence to Health & Safety standards

* Engage in training, development and education in order to keep skills and knowledge current and to strive for continual improvement

Requirements for the role

* Visual Inspection

* FLT an advantage but not essential

* Proven experience in welding and fabrication (would be advantageous)

* Ability to read engineering drawings

* Willingness to travel to local sites and be on call

* Valid driving licence essential

Full time 38 hours Mon – Thur 8:00 - 16:30 & Fri 7:00 - 13:00
Hourly Rate - £11.44- £11.52 per hour + Overtime rate
