Transport Planner (Runcorn)
~ Permanent ~ Monday to Friday ~ Immediate Start

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire

Pay rate: £25,000 - £28,000 Per Year Dependent on Experience

Transport Planner Job role:

• Action any necessary movements within a timely manner.
• Ensure relevant spreadsheets (as applicable) are updated daily/weekly and any concerns are brought to the attention of the relevant personnel.
• Decide the use of vehicles, trailers and personnel to ensure a safe legal and efficient fleet operation.
• Ensure that scheduled service/maintenance is adhered to.
• Ensure clear and effective communication with HGV Drivers.
• Assist in the continuous and effective control of all aspects of fleet operation.
• Ad hoc departmental duties to be covered for absences/holidays.
• Comply with all SHEQ procedures.
• Ad hoc departmental duties to be covered for absences/holidays.
• Plan movements to support departmental targets, objectives and KPI’s.

Shift pattern:
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00

What we are looking for in a Transport Planner:

1. Strong IT skills with the ability to Operate Word, Excel and Outlook
2. High level of organisation and time management skills
3. Attention to detail and accuracy of data submitted
4. Ability to adapt to different processes and task
5. Strong communication skills both verbal and written
6. A knowledge of EU driver's hours rules and WTD
6. Knowledge of FORS & FORS Online Professional Development.
