Pulse Roll Label Products, a globally recognized name in high-quality solutions, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our dynamic team in Yate, Bristol.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for scheduling and managing the production workflow to meet customer demand and maintain optimal inventory levels. You will co-ordinate with Sales, Purchasing and Operations to ensure an efficient production process, accurate forecasting and effective utilization of resources. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule production demand. Schedule demand based on sales orders, ensuring timely and efficient production to meet customer requirements.
Manage manufacturing orders: Movement of manufacturing orders based on reorder points in SAP in accordance with forecast.
Stock Level Management: Review stock levels monthly and adjust levels to maintain optimal levels minimising stock outs and excess.
Batch size optimisation: Recommend batch sizes and adjust as necessary to improve production efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Forecasting: Generate a rolling 13 month forecast every month to support Production planning and purchasing.
Collaborate with Purchasing: Work with purchasing departments to align material availability.
Machine Utilization Monitoring: Demonstrate machine utilisation metrics to identify areas for improvement to optimise capacity of manufacturing.
Operations Meeting: Ability to lead daily operations meetings with the team to discuss schedules, challenges and priorities.
Manufacturing Order Management: set manufacturing orders to finished status, ensuring all lines are issued and receipted correctly and costings are accurate.
Skills and Experience:

Proficiency using SAP or similar ERP/MRP experience for managing production orders and inventory
Proven experience in production planning, scheduling or a similar role in manufacturing
Experience working in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Advanced Excel skills for forecasting and data analysis
Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
Strong organisational skills and time management abilities
What We Offer:

Competitive Salary: £30 - £34K depending on experience
Full-Time Permanent Position: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year plus bank holidays
