Job Title: Senior Sales Manager

Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer

Salary: Up to £65k (dependent upon experience)

+ 15% Bonus + Car Allowance + Share Options + 7.5% Employer Pension + more

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining new customer relationships and promoting our ethos of the customer comes first.

You will take responsibility for developing a new sales funnel across the personal care and cosmetic industries in the UK & Ireland.

Main focus on direct customer sales and deal closing

Identifying and targeting direct UK & Ireland customers, focusing on the personal care/cosmetics market

Travelling approximately 50% of your time to build customer relationships

Maintaining and updating the CRM to build a global customer pool

Executing sales strategy to take biosurfactants to market

Collaborating with manufacturing to ensure product availability for customers

Feedback market drivers to the CCO for commercially led product development

Maintaining working relationships with all other staff to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.

Other tasks as required by your manager.

Role Requirements

A successful Senior Sales Manager will have:

Direct experience in consultative and technical sales of chemical raw materials (e.g. additives, modifiers, polymers, pharmaceutical intermediates etc) to either manufacturers, brands or distributors in the chemical industry

Demonstrable contacts within the UK & Ireland chemical industry

An in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions e.g., supply chain, customer service etc

Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operation metrics

Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills

Desirables:

Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment

A technical background, such as a relevant scientific degree or equivalent

Experience with fermentations and/or surfactants.
