Morson Projects are a reputable multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with over 40 year’s experience and due to growth are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their friendly supportive team in Bristol.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metallics and structural engineering and demonstrate proficiency in using Inventor and CATIA V5.

This role involves visiting client sites to understand their specific needs and deliver bespoke engineering solutions.

As Senior Design Engineer, you will design innovative and functional products and systems that meet customer specifications while effectively balancing cost, timescales, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose design solutions that meet project requirements.
• Visit client sites to gather requirements and ensure alignment with design specifications.

Required Skills:
1. Proficient in AUTO CAD, Inventor, and CATIA V5
2. In-depth knowledge of composite and metallic structures
3. Expertise in designing complex engineering structures, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, and composite design
4. Understanding of geometric tolerance control and design for manufacture
5. Familiarity with aerospace fasteners and types of structural joints
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide pragmatic, innovative solutions
7. Understanding of the typical structural analysis failure criteria used to determine the static strength of components
8. Awareness of fatigue and damage tolerance principles in rotorcraft
9. Experience working in a regulated environment
