Blackstone Recruitment is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team at SEN school catering to children and young people aged 7 to 19 who are on the autistic spectrum and have associated learning difficulties.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Occupational Therapists and newly qualified professionals who are passionate about working in a special needs environment. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with therapists and other professionals to provide essential support to students.

Reporting directly to the Therapy Manager, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and development of students.

Position Details:

* Location: Surrey

* Hours: 42.5 x 40 weeks, Term Time Only)

* Salary: £28,000 pro rata amount

* Employment type: Full time /Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

* Ongoing CDP activities can be completed in line with the relevant guidelines.

* The successful candidate will have their own clinical caseload and will be offered professional supervision.

* Provide individual pastoral support to students

* Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families regarding behaviour and pastoral matters

* Organize and facilitate pastoral training sessions for staff

Essential Criteria:

* The successful candidate will be registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification.

* All candidates must be willing to undergo safeguarding checks, including a DBS check and two references covering the past three years (with experience in working with children or vulnerable adults preferred)
