A large regional developer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Exeter. The company specialises in building high-quality homes across the region and is committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all costs relating to residential building projects from initial calculations to final figures.
* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
* Evaluate project costs and conduct feasibility studies.
* Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
* Monitor project progress and prepare regular financial reports.
* Assess and certify subcontractor applications and payments.
* Ensure that projects meet legal and quality standards.
* Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Proven experience in quantity surveying within the residential construction sector.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
* Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Valid UK driving licence.
