About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Chef to join a dedicated team at a beautifully refurbished care home in Great Easton, Essex. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with no late nights and consistent hours throughout the week. As a Sous Chef, you will take charge of the kitchen three days a week, while working alongside the Head Chef for one day, providing a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality meals for residents, catering to their individual needs and preferences.
Assist the Chef Manager in managing the kitchen team and ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, performing risk assessments and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Take responsibility for the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Chef Manager.
Aid in menu planning and development, ensuring a variety of nutritious and delicious meals.
Foster a friendly and approachable atmosphere, interacting positively with residents, guests, and families. Requirements:

Previous experience as a Chef in a catering environment, ideally within the care industry.
Valid food hygiene certificate.
City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry.
A proactive, passionate, and ambitious attitude.
Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Clean DBS. Benefits:
