A new exciting opportunity has just become available to join Xealthcare’s clients charming nursing home, offering a permanent full-time contract, for either day or night shifts. The care home is in a beautiful village within West Berkshire.
Our care provider’s 50 bed nursing home offers residential, dementia and nursing care for elderly residents, tailored to suit a range of personal needs. The care assistants and nursing team takes pride in providing a supportive and enjoyable environment where the elderly residents can thrive and enjoy life to the fullest. Following the most recent CQC inspection the care home has been rated ‘GOOD’.
Position: Healthcare Assistant
As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client’s residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients residents and contribute to their health and happiness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
* Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
* Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.
* Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
* Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
* Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
* No requirement of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, but it would be ideal.
* Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred.
* Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
