Our Felixstowe based client is looking for an experienced Distribution Traffic Operator

Key Responsibilities:
Route Planning: Strategically planning travel routes to ensure timely deliveries and minimize fuel costs.

Coordination: Working closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.

Monitoring: Tracking shipments and vehicles to ensure they are on schedule and addressing any delays or issues that arise.

Compliance: Ensuring all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of shipments, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs.

Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any logistical issues that may occur during transit.

Skills and Qualifications:
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with regulations.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during transportation.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the haulage or logistics industry is essential.
