Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Electrification/Hybridization

Location: Suffolk

Salary: £75,000 D.O.E

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with expertise in electrification and hybridization to join a dynamic team. This role involves designing and developing new hybrid and electric-powered mobile equipment, validating design changes, and resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be able to guide Electric Magnetic Compatibility to ensure standards are EMC compliant.
  • Design and integrate systems for hybrid and electric-powered equipment, including micro-controllers, sensors, motors, and electrical harnesses.
  • Develop specifications and explore new energy sources, such as lithium batteries.
  • Support engineering project timelines and validation plans.
  • Document test issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate and file patent disclosures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Experience in electrification and hybridization of mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, EMC compliance, and component selection.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CAD 3D packages, Matlab/Simulink, FEA, and LabView is a plus.
  • Full driving license.
