My Midlands based M&E Contract are looking for a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee mechanical installation projects from conception to completion in the new build sector.

Duties:-

* Overseeing all mechanical aspects of new build projects, from initial design to handover, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations at all times.

* Handling contract negotiations, variations, and claims, ensuring that all legal, financial, and commercial terms are met.

* Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, and contractors, ensuring that all team members are aligned and working towards project goals.

* Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

* Manage project budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure cost control measures are implemented to keep projects within budget.

* Develop detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.

* Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies.

* Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and audits.

* Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring materials and services meet project requirements.

* Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all installations meet industry standards and client expectations.

* Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, and clients

Key Skills: -

* Ideally have worked as Contracts Manager within New build previously or if you have experience as a new build manager for someone looking to come off the tools.

* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, as well as building codes and regulations.

* Proven ability to manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

* Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex project challenges.

* Proficiency in project management software, excel etc

* Comprehensive knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.

* Holds CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent

* Gas safe registered would be advantageous
