Our client, a well-established engineering group known for delivering high-quality services across various sectors, is seeking a consultancy to manage an upcoming major outage in Middlesbrough. With expertise in complex capital projects, the client ensures that all deliverables are met through an integrated approach, combining engineering excellence and operational efficiency.

Scope of Work
The selected Outage Manager Consultancy will oversee the full lifecycle of the outage, from initial preparations through to execution, ensuring adherence to SHEQ standards, timelines, and cost targets, acting as a central point for cost control and project oversight. Required delivery of the scope of work is within a 9-month period to meet project KPIs.

Key deliverables:

Developing and implementing processes based on the client's guidance for outage management
Ensuring all activities align with SHE standards, productivity targets, and cost control measures
Conducting audits, site visits, and regular KPI reviews to ensure compliance and performance
Managing and communicating performance against agreed KPIs throughout the outage
Leading and facilitating all planning and execution activities in line with the outage gated process
Providing competence assessments and performance reviews of contract companies, suppliers, and individuals
Competencies:

Proven ability to manage complex outages or projects in high-pressure environments, particularly on COMAH sites
Strong capability to influence third-party stakeholders to improve safety and quality standards
Expertise in implementing and monitoring SHEQ systems, ensuring zero harm and high-quality results
Analytical thinking and effective decision-making, able to resolve complex issues and drive positive outcomes
Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate teams and external suppliers effectively
