The Post – Behaviour Mentor

For this behaviour mentor role, you will ideally have experience supporting students within secondary age groups that have behavioural difficulties and/or mental health. This does not necessarily need to be in a classroom setting but experience in a school is preferred. The ideal behaviour mentor will be trained in physical intervention methods and have a confident, adaptive and creative manor.

You will be supporting students academically across all subjects, providing engaging approaches to learning, adapting to cater to different abilities and needs as well as supporting the class teacher with classroom setups and delivery of activities.

The School – PRU (Pupil referal unit)

This PRU is found in the borough of Lewisham and currently caters for Secondary students that have social, emotional and mental health needs. All students that attend this PRU have an EHCP.

The hours are 8.30am-4.45pm and some days until 5pm due to training and meetings therefore, you must be able to commit to these hours

The school is located near Lewisham station (overground and DLR) and also has great bus routes throughout London!
