Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team in Wheatley. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the educational experience of students with special needs, ensuring they receive the tailored education required to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans for students with special needs.
Regularly assess students' progress and adjust IEPs as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
Instructional Strategies:

Employ a variety of teaching methods and strategies to address the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Collaboration:

Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external professionals to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Classroom Management:

Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Implement behavioral management plans as necessary and provide guidance to teaching assistants on best practices.
Professional Development:

Stay updated with the latest SEN teaching strategies, technologies, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and educational workshops.
Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, IEPs, and any other required documentation.
Prepare reports and updates for review by senior staff and parents as needed.Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Special Education Needs (SEN) qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and appropriate teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
