Developing supplier relations and managing our inventory and purchased stock based on company needs.

Client Details

They sell there products both to consumers and B2B. They are an established business that have been trading for more than 15 years. Their core values include, innovation, value, customer focus.

Description

Forecasting: Analyse supply and demand to optimize stock holding across both brands (allowing for seasonal demand patterns etc.)
Ordering: Placing orders for products and materials based on inventory needs. Enter and maintain purchase details (supplier information and pricing) into our internal ERP system Sage 200.
Vendor relations: Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with vendors to enable long term and mutually rewarding partnerships. Ensure suppliers are adhering to KPI's.
Negotiating: Evaluate suppliers and negotiate payment terms.
Research: Researching potential new suppliers with a view to achieving best prices.
Tracking: Tracking shipments from manufacturing locations to company warehouses. In particular, arrange and track Far Eastern container shipments and address any delays/issues, keeping other internal teams notified
Record keeping: Maintaining records of purchases, shipments, and supplier contracts
Quality inspection: Inspecting products received for quality and quantity. Liaise with colleagues to address any reoccurring product issues, addressing issues with suppliers, creating and implementing improvement plans
Administrative tasks and other duties as required: Performing other administrative activities, as required, to help the business run efficiently Profile

Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
Active participation in inventory audits.
Excellent organizational skills.
Computer literacy in particular word and excel.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
A working knowledge of Sage 200 would be an advantage but not essential.
Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese would be an advantage but not essential.Job Offer
