Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary point of contact for case teams, ensuring client needs are met.
Develops and manages case price projections in collaboration with the eDiscovery Senior Project Manager. Advises on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions.
Coordinates technical work with vendors, contractors, and temporary resource personnel and provides quality control for all technical aspects of eDiscovery projects.
Manages data through EDRM phases, ensuring proper handling and processing.
Leads planning and implementation of internal operational initiatives for process improvement and standardization.
Enters billable time and manages billing for assigned cases, ensuring all hours and units are billed appropriately in systems.
Tracks and manages all case team deadlines, client/matter request queues, and status of work performed by other departments.
Ensures proper documentation of eDiscovery project plans, including workflows, role and task assignments, estimates, timetables, and process improvements.
Utilizes knowledge of eDiscovery software, litigation logistics, customer/client needs and vendor selection procedures to plan, design, and execute appropriate information technology support for each case.
Works with Senior Project Managers to design, maintain, and administer eDiscovery databases and their corresponding image/data collections.
Assists with the evaluation of new software or processes.
Assesses learning needs of legal teams and implement necessary training programs. Proactively suggests process improvements and identify training gaps in the department and on case teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Proven experience in daily eDiscovery/litigation support or similar legal roles, with a history of managing client interactions independently and collaborating effectively with litigation teams.
5+ years of experience as a project manager or eDiscovery manager.
5+ years of experience in analyzing, configuring, and implementing software to meet user needs.
Administration experience with litigation support software (such as Relativity, Everlaw, CaseText, and other similar tools), eDiscovery applications, network environments, word processing, relational database, and spreadsheet applications to coordinate technical resources for practice group support projects, including equipment, staffing, and software/applications.
