RMC is hiring for a Senior Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Port Hueneme, CA. Position is contingent of successful award of contract.

Salary Range for this position is: $150,000 to $160,000 annually

Responsibilities include:

Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.

Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.

Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.

Provide technical direction to IT support staff.

Ensure constant availability of technical resources.

Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.

Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 Infrastructure experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of Firewall, IDS, and/or IPS administration and configuration experience.

Experience with cabling management.

Minimum of five (5) years securing a Cisco environment in accordance with DISA STIGs.

Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent required.

Interim DoD SECRET Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Skills

Master’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

Advanced Cyber Certification – GSLC; CISSP; CISM; CAP; CASP.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience with scoping, architecture, and design of new network infrastructure, including cryptographic and long haul requirements.
