Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Principal, Government Services in Columbus, OH with significant experience managing energy efficiency, demand response, federally funded, and other customer-focused programs to join our growing team.  As the State Principal with Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for building and managing the Resource Innovations Program Delivery Team focused on the successful deployment of IRA Inflation Reduction Act programs within the state.  You will also be leading the contracting, staffing, management, and transition of these programs over the lifecycle.

As the Principal, Government Services, you will oversee 4-5 Program Managers (and indirect staff) administering the Homes and HEAR programs throughout the state and will be working jointly with Subcontractors and partners all with the same mission of bringing IRA benefits and an excellent customer experience to the constituents of the state.  

Experience with energy efficiency, demand response, federally funded, and other customer-focused programs is required. A successful candidate must have proven experience managing programs, directing staff, and contractors. Strong expertise in budgeting, planning/forecasting, and strategic planning is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and strengthen client relations and engage in the co-management of projects, present results, and develop new scopes of work based on the strategic goals and needs of the client.

Responsible for quality of services and products, contract compliance, and performance measures while maintaining project deliverable schedules for multiple projects administered by Resource Innovations.

Quantify needs and secure project-specific staffing needs and related resource requirements from cross-functional resources, or by hiring as appropriate.

Maintain quality control of all deliverable products demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining project schedules.

Financial responsibility and oversight of projects administered by RI, including adherence to budgets, revenue targets, and profitability in alignment with company/business unit performance goals.

Identify and support marketing opportunities and efforts to secure new business opportunities for the Company in collaboration with the Business Development and Utility Account Managers, as well as the iEnergy Software and Business Processing teams.

Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to support corporate/division reporting.

Work in partnership with other Sr. Managers across the division to ensure proper knowledge management and program management best practices.

Conduct employee performance evaluations and oversee overall staff development (e.g., project management skills, technical capabilities).

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Due to IRA (inflation Reduction Act) funding stipulations, US Citizenship is required.

Must be located in the greater Columbus, OH area.

A Bachelor’s degree in energy, business, engineering or related field is required

10+ years of experience managing/implementing energy efficiency, demand response programs on behalf of North American Utilities or Federally funded programs.

3+ years of experience working with utilities and knowledge of energy efficiency programs, key regulatory rulings, and IOU priorities.

Must be able to travel up to approximately 30% of the time.

Proven ability to manage client engagement and program delivery across a team of 4-5 reporting project managers.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Advanced energy related certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification.

A master’s degree or MBA
