Vehicle Technician – Derby – Main Dealership - Up to £38,000 OTE
Our client, a prominent main dealership in Derby, is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their thriving Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression in a professional and dynamic environment.
Position: Motor Vehicle Technician
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £38,000 OTE
Benefits:
Competitive Salary: Up to £35,000 + performance-related bonus
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday + Saturdays on rota
Working Hours: 45 Hour week
Holiday Entitlement: 22 days annual leave + bank holidaysKey Responsibilities:
Diagnose and fix vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach.
Meet with customers to understand and address their problems.
Stay updated on new vehicle technology and repair techniques.
Perform diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards.
Follow safe working practices for yourself and others.
Consult colleagues and supervisors for complex issues.
Use diagnostic equipment and road testing to ensure quality work.
Complete service documentation according to warranty and dealership requirements.
Maintain workshop housekeeping standards and proper use of tools.
Collaborate with colleagues to provide excellent customer service and share best
Perform maintenance, service, and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard.
Execute all tasks efficiently and effectively as a Vehicle Mechanic/Car Mechanic.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a dealership setting as a Motor Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic (or similar)
License: Valid Driving License required; MOT license preferred but not essentialJob Type: Permanent
