Responsibilities:

Hours for this role are Monday - Friday between 8a-5p

Our medical receptionists provide a welcoming and supportive experience for all patients, families, visitors, and staff. Carries out all administrative/clerical activities required to maintain continuity and organizational support across sites.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling/rescheduling.

Answer/transfer calls and voicemails appropriately, greet patients/families/guests/staff in a customer-friendly, professional manner.

Maintain a clean and welcoming waiting space for patients and guests.

Review and obtain appropriate forms and identification for patient appointments.

Distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence including email, mail, and faxes.

Collect copays due at time of check-in.

Process Release of Information forms.

Assist patients by troubleshooting for any telehealth appointment issues.

Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are appropriately addressed in a timely manner.

Assist with admissions process by contacting families and preparing materials.

Responsible for completing inventory as needed.

General administrative/clerical duties to support program, such as: data entry and scanning, responding to requestes, updating calendars for providers, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

1-2 years’ experience in healthcare support preferred

Must have excellent customer services skills.

Ability to processes charts and related documents with concrete variables in standardized situations and apply problem solving techniques to those situations that go beyond this scope

Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word.

Ability to manage multiple projects

Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
