Overview:

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of AVP Sr Manager of Physical Operations & Security. Primary Function: Responsible for leading the effective management of the Physical Operations and Security department. Responsible for ensuring all facilities are adequately maintained and meet Federal and State safety laws, while maintaining the HVCU brand. Accountable for organizational safety and security programs, budget management, vendor management, and disaster recovery.  

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight for the Physical Operations and Security functions and staff. Ensures efficient response to service requests and emergencies, including after-hour calls (24/7) as they arise.

Responsible for the integrity of Credit Union facilities. Ensure property and grounds are maintained, equipment is functional and serviced, and the workplace is risk free.

Interview, hire, manage and develop department staff. Create departmental goals and conduct regular department and one-on-one meetings to communicate organizational and/or departmental changes, updates and process improvements as well as to collaborate with employees on their on-going development plans.

Negotiate vendor contracts, leases, and property and equipment purchases.  Analyze current and potential vendors. Develop and provide recommendations for Executive Management Committee approval.

Oversee implementation of complex organizational projects involving new construction, building renovations and relocations. Direct and allocate resources and ensure adherence to budget and schedule. Attend municipal planning board meetings.

Responsible for departmental, organizational, and capital expenditure budgets. Monitor expenditures for the Physical Operations and Security Department.

Responsible for developing and maintaining organizational safety and security procedures and training. Conduct quarterly meetings with all Security Captains. Ensure each location has a Security Captain and is conducting departmental meetings according to procedure.

Organize and implement fire and active threat drills at all Credit Union facilities.  Provide remedial correction when required.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws, including but not limited to New York State ATM safety law, ADA, and OSHA standards.

Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in general education, business, or related field is required.

A valid Drivers license is required.

Completed OSHA 30, or ability to pass within 6 months of employment, is required.

Minimum 5 Years Leadership experience required.

Minimum 5 facilities maintenance/ or construction management experience is required. 

Experience in a financial institution is preferred.
