Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Pharmacy Returns Technician to join our PharmScript team within our Floor Technician department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved while processing returned prescriptions under the pharmacist’s supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.
Responsibilities:
Processing returned medications from facility for credit or destruction
Organizing expired medications to be picked up for destruction
Removing out of date items from inventory/shelves
Retrieve, sort and organize incoming returns from facilities
Accurately count and process medications/supplies via app to determine if item is for credit or destruction.
Return medications that we gave the site credit for to correct pharmacy floor location
Place items for destruction in correct bins for pickup by an outside vendor while following EPA guidelines and PharmScript provided training
Maintain files regarding required training/ EPA manifests, etc.
Ability to meet physical demands involving extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing and lifting
Organize pharmacy shelves (drugs, supplies, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required
Registered Pharmacy Technician in applicable state
One or more years of long-term care or retail pharmacy experience preferred
Able to work during inclement weather
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
