Job Overview:
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in leading and supervising the departments to meet and exceed company goals. This position’s chief responsibility is to ensure that the flow of materials is successful and efficient. This person must be able to maintain the stability of the department when the Supervisor is unable to be present.
Highlights of your role:
In tandem with Supervisor, provides employees with tools, information, knowledge and support to meet production goals.
Partners with Supervisor on process changes and continuous improvement projects.
Approachable, Listens, and Encourages to ensure a positive culture; Creating a great place to work.
Assists with the training, performance reviews, and disciplines of team members.
Supports daily productivity by balancing labor against goals.
Communicates and involves appropriate support departments when needed.
Meets and maintains quality measures.
Meets and maintains safety measures (i.e. OSHA incident rate).
Investigate quality concerns to determine root cause
Prevent quality issues from leaving facility
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability and/or past experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multi task, remain organized, problem solve, and prioritize daily responsibilities
Ability to effectively communicate; both verbal and written
Possess interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, develop and coach employees
Ability to understand department goals/metrics and communicate and execute plans established to meet those goals
