Overview:
The Strategy & Operational Excellence team is on a mission to improve both our customer and employee experience by transforming how we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in Waters Global Operations. Our four pillars of focus include: Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights.
As a Sr Mgr, Direct Procurement Transformation, you will be responsible for driving improvements to processes and systems related to direct procurement, supplier management, contract management, and spend analytics across our manufacturing sites and global procurement function. This will require you to collaborate with, and influence colleagues across our global network, drawing on both your own domain knowledge, as well as the cross-functional team you will be work with, to design, test, deploy, and drive adoption of new policies, processes, metrics, and systems.
Responsibilities:
Work with leaders and teams across functions and sites to develop a good understanding of current policies, processes, metrics, and systems
Identify best practices to be adopted into current policies, processes, metrics and systems
Design and validate proposed changes
Deploy new processes, functionality and analytics, supported with appropriate communication, training, and documentation
Measure adoption and adherence, execute interventions to drive increased adoption and adherence where necessary
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes
Maintain a prioritized roadmap of changes to be introduced, working with both business leaders on other transformation leads to reach alignment
Collaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, e.g., with respect to master data governance, and enterprise IT systems
Qualifications:
5+ years dynamic experience in consulting and/or manufacturing operations, including working knowledge of one or more specific areas (e.g., direct procurement, material management)
Process discovery, design, modelling, and implementation experience
Knowledge of SAP capabilities (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4 HANA)
Experience designing and deploying SAP-based processes and functionality
Knowledge of Celonis Process Mining, Symbio BPM solutions or equivalents a plus
Knowledge of PowerBI a plus
Experience working in Agile teams based on SCRUM methodology a plus
Strong project management skills, experience crafting and executing global projects
Strong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries driving change and harmonization across a global organization
Results oriented mindset, operates with high sense of urgency. Consistent track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of schedule
Strong written and verbal communication
ASCM / APICS certifications a plus
BS Degree in an Engineering, Science or Supply Chain discipline. Master’s Degree preferred #LI-Hybrid
