Overview:
The Material Handler - Receiving is responsible for the operation of material handling equipment to perform a variety of functions within the distribution center including inbound product receipt, picking, stocking, staging and order fulfillment. This position will rotate from area-to-area within the distribution center as workload dictates.
This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

Responsibilities:
Safe operation of material handling equipment to perform a variety of functions within the distribution center:
Unload all inbound/outbound products from tractor trailers, containers and conveyors.
Put away product in the narrow aisle bulk rack storage system.
Pick for replenishment, customer orders and assembly components; place product in assigned shipping/staging area.
Scan to verify the product and assigned location is accurate.
Sort, build and shrink wrap products to pallets in compliance with established standards.
Perform pre/post operation inspection of assigned material handling equipment.
Clean work area removing pallets, boxes, paper, plastic and banding.
Perform other distribution work functions as workload dictates.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or GED, preferred
3 years Warehousing, shipping, logistics industry related
1 year experience operating material handling equipment
Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g. order picker, turret, forklift, manual/electric pallet jack, etc.) - Advanced
Ability to work at extended heights - Intermediate
Mathematical skills - Intermediate
Interpersonal skills - Intermediate
Ability to adapt to changes in systems, processes and technology - Intermediate
Attention to detail and accuracy - Intermediate
Problem solving skills - Intermediate
Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal - intermediate
Other Requirements:
Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs with a range from a floor level to above shoulder height walking and standing on concrete floors for a period of up to two hours; pushing and pulling rolling carts or pallet jacks bearing loads of up to 500 pounds; free range of motion including twisting, bending, stooping, including climbing on step ladders.
Ability to work overtime, as needed.
Ability to read and write in the English language.
Flexibility to work cross functionally in other areas/teams as assigned.
