Responsibilities:

At Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health social and support services in the heart of Gilbert Arizona.  As part of our team you will provide clinical expertise support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care.  As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to champion the change by joining in our mission of healing through humankindness. The Senior Instrument Technician will provide excellent service to the patients of the Central Sterile Processing and Surgery Departments, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff.  

Responsibilities:

Responsible for inventory, ordering and distribution of technical and office supplies.

Demonstrates knowledge in identification of instruments and accuracy in processing and set-up of instrument trays. Transports instruments and equipment in a timely manner when required.

Demonstrates knowledge principles of sterilization, biological monitoring process, in decontamination, cleaning of equipment and instruments. Able to cover the equipment position as needed during day and evening shifts.

Assumes responsibility for personal, professional development and continuing education by attending departmental meetings, hospital events and classes, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Experience:Two (2) years experience as an instrument technician, surgical technician and/or Central Supply technician

 Education:High School Diploma / GED
