We have established ourselves as a results-oriented, customer-focused company, and now have multiple offices in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Texas. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to hire a dynamic and motivated Payroll specialist who will be responsible for performing highly detailed work in verifying, classifying, posting, and recording all payroll transactions, and ensuring accurate payment of employees’ paychecks. This position processes bi-weekly payroll. Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll for 1,500 employees

Full understanding of federal and state tax calculations

Prepare and submit manual payroll checks and direct deposits.

Voiding and reversing issued checks

Collect banking information for direct deposit setup.

Maintain and document all payroll records.

Process withholding orders, garnishments, and tax levies in accordance with federal and state laws for employees.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions, issues, or concerns.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in payroll processing.

Advance user of Microsoft Office particularly in Excel

Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust, rapport, and credibility.

Capable of exercising extreme discretion.

Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations is a plus.

Must be able to meet schedules and deadlines.

Must be detail-oriented and customer-focused.

Good decision-making skills. Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Must be organized, goal-oriented and have a good work ethic.
