Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical processes and systems.
Design and procure fixtures for the weld department.
Improve and document existing processes for welding.
Diagnose manufacturing problems.
Recommends process changes for improved quality and efficiency. Strive for maximum efficiency, both with people and space.
Uses problem-solving abilities to support production and maintenance departments.
Set up machines
Check parts in production
Work with outside vendors
Support Sales and Project Managers by assisting with sales calls and customer visits.
Support company goals.
Maintain professional standards of conduct when working with superiors, colleagues, and production personnel.
Responsible for supporting maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Quality of products is critical to our customer base and ensuring defects are held to company goals are essential in preventing damage, loss, or fines for company profitability.
Responsible for business contacts with persons inside or outside the Company where matters discussed require resourcefulness, tact, and a working knowledge of policies, business practice and procedures.
The position receives confidential information regarding manufacturing know-how, patents, etc. that needs to be maintained per company policy.
Experience/Requirements
Education/Experience: Must have a minimum of a four-year degree in an engineering discipline. Minimum two years’ experience with robotic Mig welding in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of engineering theory and manufacturing techniques. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Skills: Developing and maintaining accurate records and reports; effective use of time and materials to ensure quality parts to the customer on time; analyzing and independently solving process problems; interpersonal communications verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people; maintaining effective business relations with other departments and customers.
