Job Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the cheese and whey production plant.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Manage a team of production workers, supervisors, and other staff.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain inventory levels.
Implement and monitor production schedules to meet business targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency.
Prepare and manage the plant’s operational budget.
Liaise with senior management to report on plant performance and issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of dairy production processes, particularly cheese and whey.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using production management software.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the food industry.
Ability to manage budgets and financial plans effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
