Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in Geneva, New York in search of a highly talented Payroll Coordinator.
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Accounting, the Payroll Coordinator coordinates and participates in the processing of the bi-weekly payroll. This role assumes a lead position within the payroll team, setting high-quality standards for policy/procedure compliance and managing various aspects of the payroll process.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll data elements
Complete all payroll software processing requirements
Act as lead payroll contact for system tests and upgrades
Electronically transmit federal and state taxes
Produce internal payroll reports and interface payroll data to the general ledger
Prepare payroll-related reports (941's, W-2 processing, reconciliations, federal/state filings)
Support management staff with custom query reports and data analysis
Participate in Human Resource Information System team activities
Qualifications: I. Education: Minimum: 2 Year Associates Degree in business or related field
Bachelor's degree preferred
II. Experience: Minimum: 4 years of computerized payroll experience
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
III. Skills & Certifications: General accounting and software application knowledge
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Computer literacy
Ultipro experience (preferred)
