We provide today's youth with the tools to become more physically and mentally resilient through educational programming, leadership experience and service learning.

About the role: In support of the mission of HealthCorps, the AmeriCorps Teens Make Health Happen Coordinator will partner with assigned schools to establish health priorities and deliver HealthCorps' wellness curriculum to students. You will engage school, district, and community stakeholders that have a common goal of improving the health and wellness of the school and community. This is an exciting opportunity to bring our nationally established curriculum to the Cleveland community!

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a related field. Current college students with relevant experience will be considered.

At least 18 years of age

Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen

Positive and professional written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion and commitment to health, education, and service fields

Experience or interest in serving as a mentor to teens and cultivating relationships in a diverse environment

Self-starter, organized and creative individual

Benefits

Living Stipend up to $5,250 for Quarter Time members (450 total hours) or $3,500 for Minimum Time members (300 total hours)

Segal AmeriCorps Education Award up to $1,956.35 upon completion of term of service

Training and extensive experience in health promotion, lesson planning, mentoring, and event coordination

Professional development and networking opportunities with mission-aligned individuals across HealthCorps' national programming
