As a Registered Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will be responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on a patient's lower extremities (and other studies as needed). Your role will involve balancing the needs of patients and maintaining an efficient workflow. Additionally, you will ensure that patients have an excellent service experience.
This position works Sunday, Monday and Friday.
Responsibilities:
Perform ultrasound examinations of patients to create a Venous Flow Map for recommending a safe and effective treatment plan
Assist the Physician in explaining the treatment plan to the patient and addressing their specific needs
Set up and clean procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient
Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required to ensure the effectiveness of treatment and patient safety
Adhere to standard time allotments for each type of ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow
Collaborate with office staff, administrative staff, and Physicians to review the ultrasound schedule and ensure availability of ultrasound technicians for excellent and timely patient care
Develop and maintain quality of work and skills through continued education and interaction with other Ultrasound Technologists
Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory to ensure effective operations
Perform any additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program (Required)
Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to earn certification within 30 days of hire (Required)
Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills
Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team
