Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, the IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff for computer-related issues. You will assess, maintain, and enhance the functionality and efficiency of IT systems, ensuring they meet the organization’s needs. A critical aspect of the position includes implementing and monitoring security measures to safeguard organizational data and information. Additionally, you will be expected to install, configure, and update hardware and software as required. You will also forecast and report on costs associated with updating or replacing IT systems and software. Staying updated on emerging technologies and evaluating their potential for improving organizational processes is another key function. The IT Specialist will conduct staff training sessions on the effective use of IT systems and tools and will develop and maintain user-friendly documentation and guides for staff. You will also support the Application Analyst in managing AACOM’s Association Management System (AMS). Finally, the IT Specialist may be asked to perform other related duties as assigned.
