We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of cutting-edge payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. 

 The Work itself: 

Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability 

Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings 

Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads 

Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-users, b2c and b2b customers 

Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Identity and Authentication Platform

Opportunities to make a difference on a global scale through continued learning opportunities 

Essential Functions:

Works alongside others to implement modifications to existing software code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices

Assists with improvements to systems and tools and supports development and implementation of new automation, asking questions as necessary

Engages with team members during code/design reviews, participates in on-call rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles

Working closely with engineering leads, engineers, product manager, architects and client support teams, lead product development throughout the entire development cycle. This role requires logical thinking, possesses a breadth of knowledge on applying technology, quick troubleshooting, and problem solving skills

Consistently apply sound engineering practices leading to improved business outcomes

Work closely with product owners, architects and team members to drive and facilitate feature and user story grooming, write functional and technical specifications, workflow designs and use cases

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization

Be flexible to accommodate cross-region team development/collaboration and address urgent production issues

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
