Job Description
Manager of the Automation Department responsible for the delivery of new process equipment and automation solutions to the company. Leads the automation technical team in their delivery of new and improved systems to the production facility. Successful leader will utilize both internal and external resources in the delivery and maintenance of our automation systems.
Responsibilities:
The minimum responsibilities for this position are listed and are not completely inclusive of all that are required for success:
Manage automation staff, budget, and projects to meet the department and company goals.
Develop a budget and manage capital projects for the delivery of new and revised automation systems.
Direct and prioritize workload with resources within the department and with other internal and external resources.
Develop new automation solutions to meet production improvement goals.
Maintain records for the automation solutions including designs, POs, PMs, and software programs for controls.
Develop cost-effective methods for automating new and existing production processes.
Ensure documentation for the operation and preventive maintenance developed for all new automation equipment.
Manage goals to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment.
