Ignite Recruitment are looking for a Carpenter Supervisor support in the care and maintenance of our Social Housing properties. This role will be responsible for various operational matters including managing maintenance contractors and planning various renovation and repair projects. Your goal is to ensure our premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Inspection
Regularly conduct full inspections , identifying areas of current and future maintenance work (painting, repairs, plumbing, electricity, etc.), as well as ensuring the proper functioning.
Be the main contact for all maintenance related issues.
Spot potential areas of improvement and take proactive measures to make improvements.
Regularly inspect all the emergency and safety tools, ensuring proper functioning.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess, identify and mitigate any safety vulnerabilities or gaps.
Be fully conversant in all Health & Safety policies and procedures and communicate with our Health & Safety Consultant to ensure the venues meets safety standards.
Operations
Be responsible for the overall maintenance of the venues’ facilities and equipment.
Be responsible of the day-to-day operations of the department, perform on-site repairs (repairs, alteration, installation of work, plumbing, etc.).
Manage emergency maintenance needs acting quickly to resolve emergency issues.
Schedule the renovations and repairs.
Implement an effective Plan Preventive Maintenance schedule and keep it updated.
Contractors & Supplier’s Relation
Manage relationships with plumbers and customers
Arrange and coordinate quotations from suppliers when major repairs and renovations are required.
Schedule and coordinate contractors and service providers.
Manage the onsite activity of all contractors.
Ensure the repairs conducted by contractors are done properly.
Stock & Reporting
Maintain records of all machinery and equipment including manufacturers details, specifications, and manuals.
Control and monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure adequate stock.
Order all maintenance supplies.
In cooperation with the Operations Management, develop maintenance budget, and prepare necessary reports to ensure the budget is controlled, and that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.
