Job Purpose
Contracts Manager To control the running of contracts on various sites and provide leadership to the site team ensuring the Regional Director / Line manager is informed of progress at all times.
Key details:
- Based on Southern Project - Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshie, North London, Cambridge
- Running own projects up to 2/3 at a time
- Schools/Education background
- Car, Travel, Bonus and private health care.
Job Details.
To read, understand, convey and ensure the contract requirements / specifications of the project are met by all (including the design team).
* All conditions / requirements are known and adhered to
* Correspondence is issued in a timely manner as appropriate
* EOT’s are issued as required
* No contractual disputes are raised
* All parties have clear direction and timescale thereto
* Experience of contractual requirements
* General contractual knowledge
* Good management skills
To ensure a contract programme is produced to deadline and complied with by Site Management during the works.
* Contract is completed to deadline
* Contract is completed efficiently and orderly
* Clients are satisfied
* Degree or equivalent in construction or engineering discipline
* Site experience
* Construction knowledge
To identify potential problems, mitigate the effects thereof, establish cause of delay and instigate recovery plan or extension of time notice.
* Problems are dealt with immediately
* No rework is needed
* Clients are satisfied
* Problem solving skills
* Decision making skills
* Pro-active
To maintain an excellent working relationship with clients, representatives and members of the public.
* Clients are satisfied
* More opportunities are generated
* No complaints are received
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of clients
* Presentation skills
