Our client is a specialist engineering company combining several niche processes to produce high integrity components for a variety of industries. Working closely with key customers in the Aerospace sector, Automotive and other specialist sectors.
Due to business growth, our client is looking for skilled machinists to join this busy company, the right candidates would need to be flexible to fulfil the business' needs and perform their duties at different sites when required.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Program and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
* Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling for each job.
* Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
* Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs and make necessary repairs or modifications.
* Experience of working to ISO9001 standards and to Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimise production processes.
About you
* Current UK driving licence with maximum of 3 points (none of which are for dangerous or careless driving)
* HNC (level 3) in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or other relevant qualifications (Desirable)
* Previous experience with grinding/milling machines such as Makino and Kitamuras and/or
* Previous aerospace/industrial gas turbine CNC machining experience and/or Completed a machining apprenticeship?
* A positive attitude and happy disposition
* Have a desire to multi-skill across engineering departments.
* Flexibility to work between sites.
