Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide mission focused Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to government clients. 

Position Responsibilities:

Work closely with customer to develop and implement system missions from initial concepts to final operations, ensuring alignment with mission requirements, objectives, budgets and timelines.

Collaborate with customer organization and mission partners to generate product specifications and requirements and provide technical oversight during the acquisition phase.

Work with product developers (generally prime contractors) to ensure that products/systems are developed to customers’ specifications within budget and schedule. Provide resolution of technical aspects between customer and developers.

Track system risk, issues, and opportunities.

Coordinate with broader customer and SETA team to review developer deliverables (CDRLs, milestones review packages, V&V test artifacts, etc…), providing feedback and soliciting corrections/changes as needed

Ensure system developers are meeting contractual obligations and following engineering best practices.

Serve as primary point of contact for customer team inquiries related to the mission being developed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

TS/SCI with poly required. 

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required in systems engineering or other engineering / technical field.

Previous SETA, systems engineering, or technical engineering on cleared programs highly desired.

Candidates must possess well-developed interpersonal, writing, and oral skills to effectively communicate at all levels; ability to consistently exercise tact, discretion, diplomacy, and elicit team synergy is preferred.

Proficiency with Matlab and MS Excel a plus.

Target Salary Range:

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
